2 Chainz grosses nearly $2 MILLION in Dabbin’ Santa sweater sales

TRUUUUUUUU…

While you may have made out like a bandit by receiving the latest and greatest Christmas gifts this year, it was rapper 2 Chainz who truly dominated this year’s holiday season by raking in MILLIONS via his Dabbin Santa sweater line.
PIPE IT UP…

SO PEEP…

After assembling a team of 70 to assist him in giving life to his Hip-Hop inspired play on the “ugly holiday sweater” trend, the 38-year-old Atlanta native reportedly grossed nearly $2 MILLION in revenue thanks to his fans and the help of his celebrity homies.

During a recent interview with Forbes, Chainz spilled guts on the success of his genius sweater line and why he decided to gear the COIN he’s grossed towards help those in need.

“We made close to $2 million in revenue,” the rapper revealed. “I had a numerous amount of celebrities helping with the shirt. It was on the NFL, it was on TNT, it was on Good Morning America, it’s on ESPN . So I could not continue receiving those blessings without giving back at the end of the day.”

As previously reported on Cheekywiki, the “Feds Watching” rhymer gifted a portion of the Dabbin Santa sweater proceeds to disabled veteran, Dierdre Plater, by furnishing her home and paying her rent for a year.

While discussing his clothing line’s come up, 2 Chainz gave drop in why he felt it was important to give back to someone who’s dedicated their life to defending the United States.

“My dad was a veteran. He passed a couple of years ago. He was in the Army. He jumped out of airplanes for a living. So it’s just charity, period, for me,” he said. “They had no furniture, they were living month-to-month. I just wanted to relieve some of that stress. I just felt like, if I gave them a year’s cushion, which no one ever offered me, it would be a good opportunity.”

THAT’S WHATS UP…

Though the Dabbin’ dance craze kicked up during the latter half of 2015, the self proclaimed HairweaveKiller claims to have conceptualized the idea for a LIT Christmas sweaters years ago.

“I don’t want people to think this was an overnight success. We’ve been trying with a bunch of designs for a couple years now,” he said. “This is just timing meets opportunity. There’s the whole dab thing, and Atlanta’s always been somewhere that actually moves the culture a little bit. We have been the backbone of hip-hop for the past couple years. So with dabbing coming out of Atlanta, it just began to grow legs and start moving on its own.”
