A$AP Mob’s annual Yams Day ends in chaos after fights break out [VIDEO]

Yams Day ended up resembling a scene from doomsday after several fights erupted, and gun shot-like sounds rang out in the middle of A$AP Mob’s annual tribute showcase for its fallen soldier.

Hip-Hop heads sprinted out of The New York Expo Center in the Bronx, on Thursday, following a series of vicious brawls and loud banging pops that broke out during a concert dedicated to the memory of A$AP Yams—a member of the New York based collective who died of an overdose in 2015.

At approximately 10:30 PM, during A$AP Rocky’s performance, “Everybody started running, and then it calmed down and there was a little pause, but then you could hear chairs being thrown again and I heard that gunshot sound again, so I was headed for the door,” an eyewitness told the NewYorkDailyNews of the chaotic scene.

Video captured by Yams Day attendees show a violent melee between groups of young men — with some of the combatants apparently wielding bats and long pieces of wood or metal.

A DJ reportedly informed the crowd that the show was over, and urged fans to get to an exit.

Police had no reports of gunshots, however.

So far, no members of A$AP Mob have openly commented on the mess that occurred at their Yams memorial.

However, rapper Tekashi69, who rocked the mic at the show prior to the biggg beefing, took to social media assuring fans he was “not shot” and in a safe place.
