A$AP Rocky makes acting debut in “Dope”

Harlem’s very own A$AP Rocky will be making his BIG SCREEN debut in the comedic-drama, “Dope,” produced by Diddy, Pharrell Williams, and Forest Whitaker.

The “F**kin Problem,” rapper has been anxious to showcase his acting skills for some time now.

In 2013, he told radio show host Angie Martinez, “I’m actually prepping for bigger things right now, you know, Hollywood is calling.”

AND NOW HIS MOVIE DREAMS ARE COMING INTO FRUITION WITH HIS ROLE IN “Dope.”

Rocky will star in the film alongside his Victoria Secret model ex BAE, Chanel Iman, fellow rapper Tyga, and a slew of other hollywood up and comers such as, Casey Veggies, Zoë Kravitz, and Shameik Moore.

The movie, set to premier at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, is a coming of age story surrounding a CLIQUE of dorky high school seniors in Inglewood, CA.

With a hip-hop flare, “Dope,” written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa, shows how a run in with some drug dealers changes the lives of the dorks, forever.

“Dope” will make its premier at Sundance Film Festival from January 22 through February 1.
