New Biggie Smalls documentary underway; Voletta Wallace serves as executive producer

REST IN PEACE, BIG..

In an age where celebrity biopics reign over the entertainment realm, an authorized documentary surrounding legendary life and untimely death of one of rap’s greatest kings, Biggie Smalls is on its way… with his mama serving as executive producer.

Though many of us Hip-Hop heads became closely familiar with the slain “Who Shot Ya” spitter’s story through the highly praised 2009 feature film, Notorious, an upcoming in-depth biographical piece on the lyrical luminary–tentatively entitled Notorious B.I.G.: One More Chance— will reportedly focus on the lasting impact his work has on the world.

“It brings so much joy to my heart that my son Christopher’s music has made such an impact on the music community and his stories have positively inspired so many young men and women over the years, and still influencing the youth all over the world today,” B.I.G.’s mom, Voletta Wallace, spilled to Variety.

The film will be directed by Emmet and Brendan Malloy and produced by Submarine Entertainment.

Thus far, no word on when production on Biggie’s documentary will begin nor has there been a released date announced…

ARE YOU HERE FOR ANOTHER BIOPIC ON THE LATE GREAT B.I.G.? OR IS IT OVERKILL? WHY?
THOUGHTS?
