B ON THE RISE…

YAAAAAAASSSSS….

Though sandwiched at the No. 2 spot between Taylor Swift’s No. 1 ranking jammy, “Look What You Made Me Do,” and her No. 4 charting effort “…Ready for It?,” Cardi’s certified gold club anthem is expected to overthrow the pop princess’ leading track and take its rightful seat at the very top of the charts—music’s equivalent to the highly-coveted iron throne—by next week.

When, not if, “Bodak Yellow“—which, according to reports, boasted a staggering 40.8 million streams over the past seven days, making it the most streamed song in the U.S., this week—realizes chart supremacy, the buxom ex-stripper turned Love And Hip Hop New York star turned the culture’s “It Girl” will end Lauryn Hill’s two-decade-long streak as the only female rapper to rank No. 1 on the Billboard 100 without a feature.

In the past, Nicki Minaj’s 2014 booty-bouncing single, “Anaconda,” peaked at No. 2 on the Hot 100 charts, leaving the Young Money rap vixen without ever achieving her first solo No. 1 single.
