BeyGOOD: Beyonce implementing plan for Hurricane Harvey relief


Houston’s hero, Beyonce, is vowing to throw her superwoman cape on and champion for her devastated hometown.

As inhabitants of Texas’ largest city continue reeling in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, H-Town’s 35-year-old “I Care” chanteuse announced, on Monday, that she and her charitable organization are working overtime in support of relief efforts.

“My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help,” Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir Carter’s 35-year-old mommy said to the Houston Chronicle.

“I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor (Rudy Rasmus at St. John’s in downtown Houston) to implement a plan to help as many as we can,” the “Bow Down” baddie added.

Queen Bey, who launched BeyGOOD–a philanthropic effort that partners with global charity organizations to get people employed and provide clothing, counseling, housing, food and medical–in 2013 during the Mrs. Carter World Tour, took to Instagram, Sunday, assuring her fellow Houstonians that they are in her prayers…

The “Freedom” songstress’ pledge to assist her flooded homeland comes after Kevin Hart encouraged her, her husband Jay-Z, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, The Rock, Justin Timberlake, Jerry Seinfeld, and more to match his $25,000 donation towards Hurricane Harvey aid.

Since the Ride Along comedian’s online call-to-action, rappers Nicki Minaj and T.I. have agreed to contribute to relief efforts.

Texas’ adopted son, Drake, has also vowed to do his part in recovering the weather-torn land.
