Birdman says Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V is “definitely” coming out

IT MIGHT BE A THING…

Not to add any extra hype surrounding the already super-sensitive subject of Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated Tha Carter V project, but it’s looking like the unreleased album won’t be held hostage by Birdman and Cash Money Records for much longer…

OH, ITS LIT..

SO CHECK…

While chopping it up on Travis Scott and Chase B’s Beats 1 show .wav radio, the 47-year-old Hip-Hop mogul spoke candidly about his strained relationship with Weezy– who he still refers to as his son– and his plans to finally unleash the long-delayed fifth installment of the “Sorry For The Wait” rhymer’s Tha Carter LP series.

“It’s definitely coming out,” Birdman confidently said of Tunechi’s presumed masterpiece– which has served as a MAJORRRRR bone of contention in the $51 million lawsuit between Wayne and Cash Money Records.

“The situation with me and my son, I’m going to put it all behind us and just let it move forward,” he added. “Wayne is one of the best artists ever to do the game, and I want to see him continue to do what he been doing, and I’m going to support whatever he’s doing.”

Baby’s unexpected spillage of good news concerning Tha Carter V comes on the heels of Wayne teasing the forthcoming drop of several new musical projects, earlier this week.

SO, IT REALLY MIGHT BE A GO FOR C5….

Throughout the rest of his interview– which is slated to air on January 6 at 3PM EST– the “What Happened To That Boy,” rhymer spilled on the formation of Cash Money Records, his thoughts on Drake’s career, and more…

THOUGHTS?
