Bobby Shmurda took a longer prison sentence to reduce Rowdy Rebel’s time in jail

Incarcerated rapper, Bobby Shmurda, recently revealed just how much of a rider he is for his homeboys as he took a plea deal that added more time to his stint in the bing in order to lessen his GS9 crew member’s prison sentence…
In his first interview since taking a 7-year plea deal, the 22-year-old Brooklyn native–who’s been behind bars since 2014 on a multitude of charges–spilled that he could’ve taken a five year deal but chose not to… for Rowdy Rebel’s sake.

“They offered me five and offered Rowdy 12. They said the only way they’ll give him seven is if I took seven too. So, you know, I had to take one for the dawgs,” Bobby told Complex.

The Shmoney Dance King later accused the judge presiding over his case of not playing fair and letting the prosecution’s side run free..
“The only witnesses the DA had against us were lying cops. We had detectives lying, saying they seen us with guns in our hands, but when everything came back there was no DNA, no fingerprints, no nothing,” the Hip-Hop hot boy said.
“My lawyer told me we don’t want to go to court in Manhattan with these white people because they’re going to be looking at me, a little black kid. Who are they going to believe, the word of this black kid talking about shooting shit up or the word of white officers? A jury is going to believe cops all day. We’re black kids, these are white people with badges.”
An optimistic Bobby–who claims he’ll be getting out of jail in three years–says that when he gets out of jail he’ll be focusing on a number of projects including new music, movies, and a book deal.
