Bye Bye Baby: LaVar Ball removes LiAngelo Ball from UCLA

Daddy knows best.

At least that seems to be the narrative in the Ball household, as college basketball stage-father, LaVar Ball, has pulled hoop-star son, LiAngelo Ball, out of UCLA.

On the heels of being indefinitely suspended from the university’s b-ball team after being accused of stealing from several stores in China, the 19-year-on small forward’s big mouthed papa has reportedly decided to remove the freshman from the school on the grounds his suspension was “unfair,” especially since the charges were dropped.

LiAngelo—who was placed on house arrest for thievery, but ultimately released after Donald Trump pulled some strings— is not officially withdrawn from UCLA, according to TMZ, but is at home and will not return to the institution.

Sources close to Lavar says he feels, “There’s no need to break down a kid’s spirit for making a mistake.”

As a newcomer to UCLA, LiAngelo never actually played a game for the team.

A family spokesperson for he daddy-son duo claims they both appreciate UCLA for everything, despite the circumstances that led to the suspension.
