Calling For the Law: Russell Simmons rape accusers file police reports against him

Criminal complaints have been officially filed against Hip-Hop forefather, Russell Simmons, by a pair of his sexual misconduct accusers.

Amidst the flurry of sexual assault allegations being pinned upon the 60-year-old music mogul, two women reportedly filed police reports with the NYPD late last month, alleging the music mogul raped them in 1983 and 1991, respectively.

One of Russell’s supposed victims, Sherri Hines, told cops the Phat Farm creator raped her at his office in ’83, according to TMZ. The other woman — who remains anonymous — claims he attacked her at his Manhattan residence after they’d gone out on a date in ’91.

She was 32 at the time, and alleges he tried taking off her dress while sitting on a couch, and then pushed her down and forcibly raped her when she rejected his advances.

As previously reported on Cheekywiki, after being accused of sexual assault by 13 woman, during the latter half of 2017, the Def Jam founder launched a #NotMe campaign on social media, declaring his innocence.

Today, representatives for Russell announced his plan to temporarily shelve #NotMe in effort to allow all sexual assault victims the space to uncover their abuses.

At this point, he’s NOT addressed being hit with criminal filings.
