Chance The Rapper’s concert allegedly the Las Vegas shooter’s original target

Chance The Rapper‘s recent headlining performance during an annual music festival was reportedly in danger of being interrupted by Las Vegas shooter, Stephen Paddock, who law enforcement believes originally planned to shoot up the “No Problem” spitter’s concert before his Sunday evening attack on a Vegas based country-music festival.

Prior to executing the deadliest massacre in American history, on October 1, by blasting bullets into a crowd of 22,000 attendees at the Route 91 Harvest festival from a broken window of his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, the Nevada bred gunman allegedly prepared an assault on the Life Is Beautiful festival, headlined by Chano and “Royals” singer, Lorde, which went down from September 22-25 in downtown Vegas.

A senior law enforcement source—who, according to The Daily Beast, is not directly involved in the investigation into the shooting but has been briefed on its progress—claims Stephen rented multiple condoms overlooking the Chance lead music showcase but presumably, “lost his nerve or simply changed his plans and checked into the Mandalay Bay Hotel on September 28.”

In the wake of his shooting spree, which claimed the lives of 59 people and injured an approximate 520 concertgoer, police reportedly uncovered total of 42 guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition in Stephen’s home and hotel room.

The bomb-making chemical, ammonium nitrate, was also discovered in the murderer’s car.

His motives for the attack remain unclear.

As for Chance, the Grammy Award winning Hip-Hop heavyweight has yet to publicly comment on assertions his show was Stephen’s original target.
