Coins For Care: Diddy donates $200K towards maternity facilities in Uganda

Diddy’s dollars are making a difference.

A $200,000 check for the Suubi “Hope” Health Center in Uganda has recently been cut by the well-to-do Bad Boy Records mogul, as part of the Unforgettable healthcare campaign.

Mimicking the philanthropic moves of his Bronx-reppin bestie, French Montana—who partnered with non-profit organizations Mama Hope and Global Citizen after he and Swae Lee filmed visuals for their hit single, “Unforgettable” in Kampala last spring—Diddy recently announced plans to match the $100K his Circo vodka imprint has raised in charitable dollars.

“I’ve always said my purpose is to inspire and empower the next generation to become great leaders—and to honor their hustle along the way,” the rap ruler served to Rolling Stone. “In addition to passing the torch to French, I’m showing my support for the work he is doing in Uganda. Not only will Ciroc be donating $100,000 to support the organization Mama Hope, I am matching the donation so that our stories and successes can benefit as many people as possible.”

Diddy’s donation closely trails the $100Gs the Hannnnnn yeller donated to Mama Hope in 2017.

Earned It” singer, The Weeknd, also kicked in $100,000, and now, contributions from each of the high-rollers will reportedly be allocated towards construction of maternal healthcare facilities—including a prenatal care clinic, a birth house and an ambulance.
