Coming for Kells: Joycelyn Savage’s family hires lawyers to save her from R. Kelly

Though he’s a Bad Man and not ashamed of it, accused sex offender, R. Kelly, might want to consider easing up on his questionable ways as a legal team is now on its way to rescue one of the six women the R&B boomer is allegedly holding captive in his sex cult.

Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage– the concern parents of 22-year-old aspiring singer and staunch R. Kelly devotee, Joycelyn Savage– have enlisted the litigious minds of attorneys Gerald A. Griggs and Leif Howard in their “effort to seek the safe return” of their daughter from the 50-year-old “Seems Like Your Ready” singer.

The lawyers, according to TMZ, plan to make contact with R. Kelly’s reps and work with them to get Joycelyn back to her family–who hasn’t seen her in almost a year and are concerned for her health and safety–even though she is an adult.

In the past, Timothy has likened the “Bump & Grind” vocalist’s allegedly abusive entrapment of underage women to slavery.

Georgia’s Fulton County Board of Commissioners has recently fired off a formal request to concert promoters, Live Nation, asking that they cancel R. Kelly’s scheduled performance at the Wolf Creek Amphitheater on Aug. 25.

“Based on the allegations reported in various news media outlets regarding [R. Kelly], the citizens of Fulton County have expressed their collective concerns that Live Nation would allow [R. Kelly] to perform at a venue that is supported by taxpayers,” the official letter from the board to the show organizers read…

At this point, according to, Live Nation said it has no plans to cancel Kells’ show.
