Dame Dash spills on him and Jay-Z pursuing Aaliyah [VIDEO]

BABY GIRL AND CHATTY PATTY…

Though most Hip-Hop heads are under the impression that the bad blood between former Roc-A-Fella Records honchos Dame Dash and Jay-Z stems from their disparaging business models, it seems the tug-of-war over Aaliyah’s heart may have low key played a role in the falling out of the ex-partners too…

SO CATCH…

Shortly before her untimely passing in 2001, the late “Rock The Boat” singer was engaged to Dame.
However, word on the block had it that Aaliyah shared a romantic connection with HOV at some point as well.

WELL…

While choppin it up with Hip-Hop motivation, the 44-year-old Chatty Patty originator spilled on how he and Jay both pursued the “More Than A Woman” vocalist..

“I was going at her, but Jay was going at her. He knew her before I did,” Dame began.

He went on to say his connection with Baby Girl was undeniable and credits their common backgrounds as the force that drew them closer to one another.

“It was a situation where Aaliyah was the type of girl that would give you a shot. She didn’t care what people thought. So she’ll date you and be your friend. But you might end up in the friend zone… You wasn’t gonna just hit that. At least that was my experience,” he continued.

Though the Poppington prince says he and HOVA never exchanged words about his relationship with Aaliyah, Jigga did express the close bond he shared with the songstress on the “Miss You remix” shortly after she died in an airplane crash at 22.

In reference to his own bond with his late lover, Dame emphasized how his and Aaliyah’s innocent friendship blossomed into a romance similar that of Dipset spitter Cam’Ron and his girlfriend JuJu.

“That was my homie…we kicked it so much and had so much fun,” he said while reminiscing on the love he shared with his “One In A Million” boo.
