Did cops STOP Rihanna from throwing a free concert in Freddie Gray’s honor ?

BYE RIHANNA…
Word on the curb is Baltimore law enforcement BLOCKEDT Rihanna from performing a free concert and marching alongside protesters in memory of the late Freddie Gray…

SO PEEP:

An electronic paper trail between the “B**** Better Have My Money,” singer and the former head of media relations for the BMore police captain are said to reveal Ri’s FAILED attempt to lend some musical peace to the city during a time of social unrest.
According to The Baltimore Sun, a messaged released and dated on May 1, indicated that your girl was making plans to throw a free concert and walk with protesters–who were fighting against the unlawful murder of Gray–as a demonstration of solidarity.

HOWEVER…
The concert was brought up again in a situation report then later turned down because there was no “permit.”
“Possible Rihanna Concert at Penn & North,” the update reads. “No time given. Police are claiming they have no permit so it will not be allowed.”
YEAH RIGHT…
Though the cops CLEARLY weren’t here for Rih free flexin for Freddie, they allowed musical legend Prince, to come through and hold it down for peace..
Instead of throwing a concert, Rihanna’s plans to make a public stand against police brutality was reduced down to her positing a pic of a teary-eyed black cop…

So far, there’s been NO clear word on WHY the police didn’t want the “S&M” crooner turning up in their city…

WHY DO YOU THINK POLICE WOULD BLOCK RIH FROM PERFORMING?

THOUGHTS?
