DMX, Jim Jones, N.O.R.E., and Jadakiss slay The Apollo Theater for Hip Hop Classics concert

Harlem World U.S.A. got rocked to the heavens as rap gods Jim Jones, Jadakiss, N.O.R.E., and DMX all descended upon the legendary neighborhood’s historic Apollo Theater to claim their respective crowns as the original kings of classic Hip-Hop.
On Friday, the four native New Yorkers individually dominated the legendary Big Apple landmark with their celebrated talents, surprise special guest performances, and unforgettable showcases.

At shows open, Jim Jones got the crowd super lit with performances of his classics, “Certified Gangsta,” “Pop Champagne,” and “We Fly High.”

Before bidding his hometown stans goodbye the 40-year-old Dipset general delivered a brief yet poignant message about the Black Lives Matter and All Lives Matter movements.

The rapper also took a moment to share his thoughts on the fights against police brutality and black-on-black crime that continues to plague the African American community.

Music fans then went wild when “Nothin’,” spitter, N.O.R.E. , hopped on the mic and escorted them down memory lane with a bevy of his masterful joint’s that have all rightfully earned the title of true Hip-Hop classics..

With the help of his rhyming squad mate, Capone, the round-bellied Queens bred emcee gave rap enthusiasts a show they won’t soon forget.

Up next came Kiss, who summarily brought out the militant thug in everyone by kicking off his set with his jams “The Champ Is Here,” and “By Your Side.”

The raspy-voiced emcee and his D-Block running mate, Styles P, then hit Hip-Hop lovers over the head with a medley of their infamous tracks dating back to the early 90s all the way up to their present heat…

At around 12:00 AM, a low pitch “grrrrrr” echoed through the Apollo Theater’s sound system giving cheering fans cue that an unbridled DMX was gearing up to take center stage.

Rocking the Harlem-based house of talent with performances of his smash hits “What These B***hes Want,” “Get It On The Floor,” “Ruff Ryderz Anthem,” and my personal favorite, “How’s It Going Down,” the 45-year-old had the diehard devotees going nuts.

In between slaying his songs, the Dog made light of his sexual prowess–which aided him in fathering 15 kids, eloquently explained how God’s hand assists him overcoming his demons, and wowed his audience with an impressive series of push ups…

In true form, X ended his set with a special prayer in which he thanked the Lord for blessing him with his many gifts and conversely rebuked the devil for trying to lure him off of the path of righteousness..

To sum it up, Hip Hop Classics concert at the Apollo was LIT thanks to the heralded Original champs who’ve continued to bless genre zealots with fire for decades.
