Family Feud: Jay-Z talks elevator fight with Solange; calls singer his “sister”

ITS ALL LOVE…

“That’s my sister. Not my sister-in-law. My sister,” Jay-Z said of his rock solid relationship with Beyonce’s baby sibling, Solange Knowles–despite the R&B beauty’s notable transformation of an elevator into a boxing ring during their infamous brawl after the 2014 Met Gala.

BOOOOOOP…

HEY, SOLANGE’D ALI…

Upon the release of his certified platinum record-breaking 4:44 album, Marcy project’s 47-year-old billion dollar baby has uncharacteristically uncovered a number of previously undiscussed family secrets…

And now, for the first time in the three years since the jaw-dropping/rocking fisticuffs with his 31-year-old A Seat At The Table singing “sister”-in-law, HOV–who subtly referenced his fight with Solange on track “Kill Jay-Z,” on which he also low-key copped to creeping on his Lemonade crooning spouse — insists he and Bey’s sis have always been and will forever be “cool.”

“We’ve always had a great relationship. I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space, but it ain’t nothing,” the “99 Problems” spitter served of his and Solo’s presumed beef while chopping it up on Rap Radar’s podcast. “We’ve had one disagreement ever.”

Without revealing the specifics behind what precipitated Solange’s physical attack, Jay intimated that regardless of the isolated incident he feels a special connection with the “I Decided,” songstress.

“Before and after, we’ve been cool. She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister. Not my sister-in-law. My sister,” he asserted.

Later, Roc Nation’s fearless leader praised Solo’s “incredible” work on her latest Grammy Award winning efforts.

“I think we went into that elevator great artists. That don’t surprise me,” he said of the otherworldly success he, his wife, and sister-in-law have all individually enjoyed after addressing the elevator beat down on their respective projects.

As for the more recent accolades being showered upon the “Cranes In The Sky” singer, Jigga added, “I’ve always loved Solange’s music. I think she was slept on before this album. I thought the album before this one was amazing too. Incredible artist.”
