The mournful deaths of TuPac Shakur and Biggie Smalls are officially coming to a small-screen near you via upcoming USA network drama Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.




Hip-Hop heads with hankering to learn more about the two-decade-old fatal shootings of two of the genre’s most prolific figures would be wise to start paying their cable bills … As a true crime anthology delving into the dual investigations of their 1996 and 1997 murders is slated to hit airwaves in early 2018…

Order to pilot in November, the series will chronicle the experiences of former LAPD Detective Greg Kading–who led multiple law-enforcement task forces investigating the respective slayings of the East Coast/ West Coast reppin friends-turned-foes and authored the book Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations— who served as a consultant on the pilot script and will serve as co-executive producer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Screen gem Marcc Rose, will reprise his Straight Outta Compton portrayal of the “California Love” crooner in the upcoming series while Hollywood rookie, Wavyy Jones, has been tapped to bring life to the late “Ready To Die” creator…
Joining the gentlemen in USA’s quest to shed light on their assassinations is actor/singer, Luke James, who’ll play Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs and Underground star, Aisha Hinds, as Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace.
