Forgetting Dick??: Emmys failed to remember Charlie Murphy and Dick Gregory

Dick Gregory and Charlie Murphy are only a few late luminaries who tragically slipped the memories of the masterminds behind Sunday’s 69th Primetime Emmy Awards “In Memoriam” tribute.

And—SURPRISE—Twitter ain’t with none of the sh**s…

Social Media shamers are steadily wagging their disapproving fingers at the Television Academy for head-azz-ly forgetting to recognize the extraordinary lives and impactful contributions of several deceased Hollywood honchos during the Emmys’ annual montage dedicated to the year’s fallen stars..

While honoring the likes of passed on-screen dignitaries such as Alan Thicke, Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds, and Zsa Zsa Gabor…the 2017 “In Memoriam” failed to pay tribute to Dick Gregory, Charlie Murphy, Erin Moran, Frank Vincent, Harry Dean Stanton, and Emmy-nominated musician Al Jarreau—just to name a few.

Twitter talkers, including Academy Award winning rapper Common, had more than a mouthful to say about the Emmys’ unjustifiable oversight, and they let their feelings be known all up and down timelines…
