As the cover boy of the XXL magazine’s Fall 2016 edition, Gucci revealed that he believes his stint behind the wall made him into the man he is today…

“I think jail did help me. It saved my life because it gave me time to dry out. If you would have told me before I went to jail that I could stop drinking and smoking weed, I knew people could do that and I had heard story of that, but I never wanted to do that,” he said.

“I never ever wanted to not be high. I enjoyed doing it so much. But when I got away and I looked back and put my plan together, after a year of being away from drugs, it came to be a part of my plan. The way I’m handling business now is way more sharper than how I was before. Maybe if I don’t do that, maybe that will keep me from going back and forth to jail,” the rapper added.

Throughout the rest of his comprehensive spillage with the publication, GuWop chopped it up about hitting his low point before going away, his relationship with Young Thug and much much more…
