Jada Pinkett Smith cries over portrayal of friendship w/ TuPac in “All Eyez On Me”

MADDY MADDINGTON…

“It was exploitive of me and Pac, how they used our relationship to sell a movie, and I just felt like it was tomb-raiding in regards to Pac,” an emotional Jada Pinkett Smith said of the upset portrayal of her relationship with late lyrical legend, Tupac Shakur, in the rapper’s newly debuted biopic, All Eyez On Me.

While chopping it up on-air with V– 103 about her soon-to-drop feature film, Girl’s Trip, Will Smith’s 45-year-old wife tearfully explained why she openly expressed her “deep hurt” behind the way movie producer, L.T. Hutton, and others involved in the making of the biographical piece wrongfully depicted her and Pac’s special bond.

“I wanted people to know that what you’re seeing in regards to my relationship with Tupac is not true, and that was important to me because,” lamented Jada as she fought back water-works, “my relationship was really special and, um, it was very complicated and, um, I just felt like it was a huge disservice.”

Furthering her stance on the matter, the Hollywood honey added that her disappointment in the All Eyez On Me curators was “even more painful” because of her professional ties to the movie’s masterminds.

“I thought it was just handled in a very disrespectful way, and I felt like it was exploitive of me and Pac, how they used our relationship to sell a movie, and I just felt like it was tomb-raiding in regards to Pac,” she maintained.

“And if you’re really saying that you’re honoring a man’s legacy, then honor his legacy. And if you don’t have the story, fall back until you do,” Jada sternly chastised. “I feel like we, as black people, we have got to protect those individuals that we say are important to us, to our history and to our culture. We cannot expect other people to do that if we’re not willing to do that ourselves. Pac is precious to us.”

In closing, Willow and Jaden Smith’s Set It Off starring mama left those responsible for All Eyez Me with, “If you really feel like you did right by Pac, then congratulations. But if you didn’t, really sit with that. ’Cause I hope next time, if you get another opportunity to make another movie about a legend, you’ll do a different thing.”
