Jay-Z pays homage to Chinx Drugz during B Sides concert [VIDEO]

In the wake of rapper Chinx Drugz’s MURDER, Jay-Z took time out of his Tidal Bsides concert to pay respect to the slain artist and deliver a powerful message to his audience about protecting one another.

“A young man got killed last night named Chinx,” Jigga began. “I think it’s real important for us…I can understand it. We are seriously under attack like never before…Rest in peace to Chinx.”

The 45-year-old “Hard Knock Life,” rhymer went on to give DROP about the serious danger young people face in today’s society, while emphasizing the importance of unity.
“And we’re still killing each other. We need to understand that we are kings and queens and we’re under attack. A young man trying to make his way out the hood…and goes back to his hood. People always say ‘they left the hood and never want to come back’ but when you go back to the hood you get killed,” SERVED Jay.

He continued, “We can’t have it both ways.  We gotta protect our own. We gotta protect our own….We gotta take responsibility for what we’re doing. You understand what I’m saying? The statistics are against us, lets not make it harder on ourselves.”

As reported on Cheekywiki, Chinx was SHOT 15 times in a car on Queens Boulevard and 84th Drive in Queens, early Sunday morning.

He was affiliated with French Montana’s Coke Boys and was best known for hit track, “I’m a Coke Boy.”
Chinx was 31.
