Jigga Man Can: Jay-Z to produce feature film and six-part docu-series on Trayvon Martin

A solider in the fight to uncover the harsh truths behind the recent string of social injustices plagued against the black community, Jay-Z, has solicited the cinematic assistance of The Weinstein Company to produce a six-part docu-series and feature film about the 2012 fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.
On the heels of securing the rights to two books–Suspicion Nation: The Inside Story of the Trayvon Martin Injustice and Why We Continue to Repeat It by an NBC News analyst who covered the trail of 17-year-old student’s murderer … and Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin, which was written by the teen’s parents— the indie film company and Beyonce’s 47-year-old iconic hubby are setting out to produce visuals that will accurately tell Trayvon’s story, according to Variety.

Jay Z will produce the docu-series as part of a first-look deal he signed with the studio last September.
The Weinstein Company–the highly acclaimed creators behind box office hit “Fruitvale Station,” based on the 2009 murder of Oscar Grant at the hands of a BART police officer–will mastermind Trayvon’s narrative feature film.
HOV’s first collaborative six-part docu-series with Weinstein, TIME: The Kalief Browder Story, debuted on Spike earlier this month.

No telling when Travyon’s projects will air… It’s just great to know that his spirit will continue to live on through art..
