Kanye West and Hype Williams accused of plagiarizing “All Of the Lights” music video [VIDEO]

YEEZY BIT ME…

Though Kanye West and Hype Williams may have released the LIT visuals for Ye’s hit track, “All Of The Lights” 4 years ago, the music video is making MESSY headlines this week…

UH OH…
PEEP THIS MESS…

Ye and the heralded music video director are being accused of plagiarism by film director Gaspar Noé, who claims their 2011 video is strikingly similar to his 2009 film Enter the Void.

HMMM…

During an Interview with the DailyBeast, Gaspar unapologetically came for Hype saying, “And the director was someone else who ripped off the titles to my movie. I was more shocked by the fact that that guy who copied all the typography of my titles put his name in [the “All Of The Lights” video] — Hype Williams — when you never usually see a director’s name in a music video.”

The film maker continued, “He was putting his name on it over and over! It was so weird that he was not only copying it, but adding his name into the credits over and over again.”

Claiming that Hype imitated the title sequence of the film throughout the video, Gaspar was surprised by the fact that he was NEVER consulted regarding the making Kanye’s project.

Though he was admittedly shocked by Hype’s alleged biting of his film, Gaspar says he’s not surprised by his art’s ability to inspire others.
“The truth is that when you put something out there, if you put any idea out there that’s kind of flashy, you have many, many people that are going to be copying it. This happens whether you do movies, paintings, or music.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

So far, neither Ye nor Hype have made any public comments about being accused of plagiarism.
