Kanye West listed as co-writer on Drake’s Kid Cudi diss track “Two Birds One Stone”

Thus far, 2016 has been wrought with plot twist on plot twist on plot twist. And now, news that Kanye West had parts in Drake’s Kid Cudi diss track is yet another twist in the plot that none of us were expecting…
Though Cudi and Yeezy’s seemingly unshakable bond wiggled a little towards the end of September, the beef that began bubbling between them–sparked by Cudder’s messy Twitter rant against Ye and Drake– swiftly simmered down right around the time the “Day N’ Nite,” spitter announced that he’d be checking himself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges.
Unfortunately for Cudi, Drizzy wasn’t as forgiving as Kanye and mercilessly trolled the 32-year-old Ohio native for his mental health issues on newly released song “Two Birds One Stone.”

“You were the man on the moon / Now you just go through your phases / Life of the angry and famous / Rap like I know I’m the greatest / Then give you the tropical flavors / Still never been on hiatus / You stay xanned and perked up / So when reality set in you don’t gotta face it / I’m down 200 in Vegas but winning life on a daily basis / It seems like nobody wants to stay in my good graces / I’m like a real estate agent, putting you all in your places / Look what happens soon as you talk to me crazy / Is you crazy,” the Canadian microphone slayer served on the single– which debuted via OVO Radio, last week.

While Hip-Hop heads around the world collectively scolded the Champagne Papi for kicking the “Pursuit of Happiness,” rhymer when he’s down, it almost went unnoticed that Ye– who openly showered Cudi with love and warm wishes post their fight– was involved in the creation of Drake’s controversial track.

According to credits on streaming service Tidal, Kanye is named a writer, co-lyricist and co-producer on “Two Birds One Stone.”
Though it’s unclear how much the G.O.O.D. Music overseer contributed to the writing and production on the diss track, the timing of it’s release couldn’t be more awkward as Ye recently called Cudi, “the most influential artist of the last 10 years,” and also asked his audience to sing “Father Stretch My Hands Pt.1” in the rapper’s honor during a stop on his Saint Pablo tour.

No telling how or when this messy mess between some of our favorite rappers will end… But let’s just hope its peaceful!
