Over the weekend, the the 20-year-old Grammy nominated R&B singer/songwriter –who tried killing herself after being trashed on social media for creeping with singer Party Next Door behind then boyfriend Kyrie Irving’s back—carved a moment out of her first live performance since the near suicide to encourage her audience to exercise compassion for those who may be suffering from depression and other mental disorders..

 
“[Suicide] is something that so many young people are dealing with,” the”You Should Be Here” songstress spilled. 
“Please don’t try it. Don’t do it,” she urged before informing her crowd of Californian music lovers about her past struggles with suicide.  

 
“It wasn’t a first time thing, and that’s not okay…for anyone. Not for the people around you, not for the people that love you, not the people that care about you,” Kehlani added just moments prior to announcing that she’ll be working closely with the Suicide Prevention hotline in the near future.
