Kid Cudi OPENS UP about GAY role in Sundance film,”James White”

GAY FOR PAY

Rapper Kid Cudi worked his BUTT off as he played a gay man in the Josh Mond directed film, “James White,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on Friday Jan. 23.

A figure in a genre where homosexuality is still very TABOO, the “Day and Night,” rapper SPILLED to Billboard magazine that he WELCOMED the challenge of filling the supportive role in the film

“This was way different than anything else I’ve ever done[…]It was dope to do that. I felt like I had a responsibility to present a different walk in life from that world,” SERVED Cudi.

The “Christian Dior Denim Flow,” emcee was especially proud of the LIP SERVICE he and his MALE love interest, David Call shared on set.

However, Kid Cudi man kissing scenes did NOT make the final cut of the movie.

“I’m mad [Mond] cut out my kissing scenes with David [Call],” Cudi said. “We made out so many times — and it was so good! That’s my only gripe.”

OH.

IIGHT.

Cudi, who’s music scored the Sundance movie, expressed how happy he was to demonstrate to the world that,”we are all equal.”

No stranger to the acting world, Kid Cudi says he “never hesitated,” to jump right into the role of the gay character.

He told Billboard that hopes he can be an inspiration to the movie’s younger audience. “There’s gonna be some kid that sees me in this film and maybe have the confidence to come out.”
