Kobe Bryant announces retirement from NBA via “Dear Basketball” poem

GOAT GOTTA GO….

The adage, “All good things must come to an end,” is surely the only thing giving basketball fanatics comfort as Kobe Bryant recently announced his retirement from the NBA.
OHHH GAWD…
SO PEEP…

Yesterday, the 37-year-old Los Angeles Lakers legend penned a heartfelt letter to the sport that made him a god proclaiming that he’d be hanging up his jersey at the end of the season.

“This season is all I have left to give. my heart can take the pounding, my mind can handle the grind, but my body knows it’s time to say goodbye,” the five time championship winner wrote in the manifesto he poetically titled, “Dear Basketball,” on ThePlayersTribune.

In addition to taking home a handful of rings, Kobe also won two Olympic gold medals, 17 All-Star selections, an 81-point game that ranks as the second-best in NBA history and more than 32,000 points, throughout his two decades in the NBA…

Following a four point loss to the Indiana Pacers last night, Kobe spilled to the media, “A decision like this, you can’t make that decision based on outside circumstances,” in reference to his retirement. “It has to be an internal decision, and finally I’ve decided to accept that I can’t actually do this anymore, and I’m OK with that.”
