LA Reid spills on why Epic Records hasn’t posted Bobby Shmurda’s $2 MILLION bail

Over the past year, many Hip-Hop heads have given Epic Records CEO, LA Reid, major side eye for not coughing up Bobby Shmurda’s $2 million bail which would free him from prison until his weapons and murder trial begins…

During a recent interview with Rap Radar, the 59-year-old music mogul gave drop on why he and his record label have been unable to aid the Shmoney Dance originator in his time of need.

“People don’t know anything about my business, right? It’s really not their business. That’s the truth about it, right,” LA began

“We’re not elected officials here . And we’re not at liberty to disclose how we do business. It’s fair practice, I can tell you that. But, it’s not the industry that it once was. We seriously don’t make the money we used to make. That’s a fact of life, right?”

He went on to contrast Bobby’s current legal woes to those of Snoop Dogg when he was acquitted of MURDER back in 1996 .

“Bobby Shmurda is not the same as Snoop Dogg and Murder Was The Case, who’s coming off The Chronic and his first album. It’s a different era, ya know? And, we’re a publicly held corporation. We just aren’t in the same position we were in back in those days. So, it’s a different day.”

Though LA makes it clear that the “Bobby Bish” crooner could not count on him for financial support he does say that he is “crazy” about the kid and thinks about him often .

“I feel like, ya know, his better days are ahead of him. I do believe that. And I think it’s unfortunate what has taken place,” he served .

As previously reported, Bobby Shmurda and his GS9 crew were arrested on a number of weapons and murder charges back in December 2014 .

If convicted, Bobby faces up to 25 years in jail .

So, it would have been nice for the music exec to help his protege..but NO DICE!
