Long Live Lean: Future claims relationship w/ Ciara could’ve turned him into a “cornball”

Future was everything but ready to give up his illegal indulgences in exchange for a lifetime of long-legged love with baby mama, Ciara..
As cover king of the April 2017 issue of Billboard Magazine, the 33-year-old “Mask Off” mastermind gave drop on his contentment with the end of his romantic relationship with the “Goodies” crooning mother of his youngest child.
“They had me going the cornball route,” Future said as he recalled his unpleasant attempts at adapting to a less weed and codeine-charged lifestyle for the sake of a longterm love story with Ciara.
“I feel like everything happened for a reason. I’m happy with life now. I’m happy with life, period, even with the end of a relationship being…,” Future said trailing off. “I’m just not going to settle for anything, you know? Even in my life now, I know I can be a better person. I ain’t giving up on myself, so if you give up on me, I ain’t got nothing else to say for you. Because if you give up on something that’s real, it wasn’t real to you.”

And while Russell Wilson’s super pregnant “Body Party” singing new wife presumably served as Future’s female target on HNDRXX track “My Collection,” on which the rapper moan-sings the words “She told me she was an angel/She f—ed two rappers and three singers,” the Atlanta native says he could be addressing any number of the high-profiling baes in his past on his more emotionally charged projects..
“What the people don’t understand is, I been kicking it with superstars when it comes to females for a minute — on the low-low with nobody don’t know-know,” he said laughing.
Later on in his chop up with Billboard, the dread-headed “Draco” spitter–who’s enjoyed a musical career complete with several consecutive No. 1 albums, multi-million dollar grossing tours, and countless smash singles–addressed never being able to score a Grammy nomination…
“The Grammys, they get what they get — the shit that they don’t, it’s the shit that they maybe don’t want to understand,” he said. “They’re not going to keep me from doing what I’m supposed to do as an artist.”
