Marvin Gaye WINS against Pharell and Robin Thicke

Marvin Gaye caught a  W today, even though he’s been dead since 1984!

A LA judge RULED in favor of Marvin Gaye‘s estate in the lawsuit accusing Robin Thicke and Pharrell of plagiarizing Marvin’s  77 classic “Got To Give It Up.”

U.S. District Judge John Kronstadt DEEMED that the song that had EVERY ASS BODY moving last year, “Blurred Lines,” is IN FACT a bit from Marvin Gaye’s jammy.
However, word on the BLOCK is there will need to be further litigation to decide upon the extent of that plagiarism.
The estate has settled privately with Sony/ATV, but the war over “Blurred Lines” is far from over.
The musicians and Gaye’s family will resume LITIGATIONS in court on February 10th, 2015.
