Mobb Deep’s Prodigy SUING Universal Music for over $50,000

GOT EM TWISTED..

Looks like Mobb Deep rapper, Prodigy, is dragging his record label, Universal Music, to court due to their snatching of 50% of the COIN he makes as a solo artist…

OH UH UH..

SO PEEP…

The 41-year-old Hip Hop honcho–who makes up one-half of the “Quiet Storm” spitting rap duo–recently filed a lawsuit against Universal Music for wrongfully taking $57,489 out of his royalties checks over the years.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, Prodigy and Mobb Deep’s other member Havoc entered into a contract with Universal Music back in 1995…

Mobb Deep's Prosigy SUING Universal Music for over $50,000

Under the contract, the “Hell On Earth” crooners agreed to cough up half of all profits from future albums and songs…

HOWEVER…

Prodigy claims the deal did NOT cover music and dough he made on any songs or ghostwriting he did outside of Mobb Deep.

And since Universal has been helping themselves to 50% of his profits for some time now, the Queens bred emcee is GUNNING for a judge to have the label replace the over $50 G’s they allegedly took and cover his attorney fees.

STRAIGHT LIKE THAT….
