New Prison, Who Dis??: Meek Mill transferred out of solitary confinement

Though shackles remain on his feet, Meek Mill can now dance a little freer whilst behind bars, as he’s finally been moved out of solitary confinement.

After suffering in isolation for an agonizing 23 hours a day, 7 days a week during the first few weeks of his 2 to 4 year probation violation bid at Camp Hill, lawyers for Hip-Hop’s “House Party” promoter finessed him into an entirely new prison, where he’ll enjoy participating in a variety of jailhouse activities alongside his fellow inmates.

Meek—according to TMZ—has been transferred to Pennsylvania’s State Correctional Institution and will now reside amongst the general population, but live in his own cell.

During recreational hours, the “Litty” lyricist has reportedly been granted the freedom to hang out in the yard, play basketball, exercise, and check out books from the jail’s on-site library.

As for earning his keep, Meek will be assigned a job—either cleaning cells or cooking in the kitchen—on which he‘s poised to command a menial 19 cents an hour.

As previously reported on Cheekywiki, the Philadelphia native was said to have been given a court date of November 27 for a bail hearing in his appeal case.

However, per reports, the rapper’s new court date was accidentally scheduled by a confused court clerk.

No hearing will take place, and Meek will remain in jail.
