Nick Cannon claims he once wrote for Kanye West [VIDEO]

A ‘GIGGILO’ WRITING KANYE’S FLOW???

Most of us rap aficionados would find it hard to believe that the same man who gave us classic bubble gum rhymes on songs like “Giggilo,” and “Your Pops Don’t Like Me,” also had a hand in masterminding bars for Kanye West’s verses…

WELL BIH,

BELIEVE IT OR NOT…

While chopping it up with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club on Thursday, Nick Cannon spilled on serving as Yeezy’s pen for some of his tracks.

“I never wrote no smashes, but I’ve been in the Kanye [writing] camps early on,” Mariah Carey and Brittany Bell’s shared baby daddy revealed. “I was there during ‘Gold Digger.’ I wrote that bar for Kanye: ‘We don’t need to stop. I make black history every day. I don’t need a month.’ That was me.”

And although the 39-year-old Gospel of Ike Turn Up mixtape creator freely dubbed Drake–a rapper infamously trolled for using multiple ghost writers to script is rhymes– one of the best artists of this generation, he made it clear that the Champagne Papi probably isn’t the greatest lyricist out…

“If you put Drake up against somebody bar-for-bar – like if you go off your arsenal not your team’s arsenal, what you got against another person who raps for a living – I’m not going to go with Drake,” Nick stated. “I’m a huge Drake fan. Probably one of the biggest… not as an emcee.”

He added, “I have seen Ye be a lyricist. I have battled Ye, freestyle off the top,” Cannon explained. “I just haven’t seen it [from Drake]. We keep talking about it. I’ve seen the Blackberries. I’ve never seen him step up to an emcee.”
