#EmmysSoHipHop has great potential to become the next major hashtag trending up and down your social media timelines as a handful of the genre’s most prominent microphone monsters have been tapped to take home a coveted golden statue at the 2017 Emmy Awards.

 
In addition to the blessings already weighing down his lap, Chicago’s very own, Chance The Rapper, along with lyrical legends Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, and common have all been nominated to snag a prestigious awards in varying categories at the Emmys’ upcoming annual celebration of artistry.

 
While both the “No Problem” spitter and his 45-year-old “Letter To The Free” rhyming fellow Chicagoan are both named in the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics category, Uncle Snoop and LL are poised to win big for their masterful presences on television.

The LBC’s DoggFather, and his unlikely VH1 co-host, Martha Stewart, stand to earn the title of Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-competition Program category for their work on Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party.

 
While the 49-year-old Queens reppin man who gave sensually have the hood some insights on “Doing Well,” is nominated for Outstanding Structured Reality Program for his role as a producer of Spike TV’s Lip Sync Battle, which he co-hosts with Chrissy Teigen.
