Not Today: TuPac’s mom files lawsuits to retrieve his passport, drivers license & lyrics

WHOA DERE…

As the long-overdue Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction of late lyrical legend TuPac Shakur nears, lawsuits and legal issues are popping up like pimples on prom night..

SO PEEP…

While you can’t blame money-blowing Hip-Hop heads for wanting to purchase a piece of Pac, it seems the estate of his recently passed mother, Afeni Shakur, is gunning to retrieve his personal belongings–including the Thug Life promoting rapper’s passport, driver’s license, clothing, jewelry, handwritten scripts and lyrics and notebooks–in order to protect them from being sold by an auction house, popular memorabilia website, MomentInTime, and two individuals looking for a coin come-up.

HOW BOUT DAT…

According to the documents, obtained by TMZ, MUVA Shakur’s estate is suing the entities with claims that because they all individually bought the “I Get Around” rhymer’s items from 3rd parties–who had no ownership rights–they then have no right to sell the goods.

BUT ISNT POSSESSION 9/10THs OF THE LAW?? OR DOES THAT NOT APPLY HERE?????

The suit reportedly goes on to maintain that the estate has repeatedly informed the defendants they have no rights to Pac’s treasures…but their demands have been ignored.

SHADY…

On April 7, the West Coast crooner–who died in the Medical Center of Southern Nevada on September 13, 1996 after being shot in a drive by shooting a week prior–will be posthumously welcomed into the highly exclusive annals of music greatness..

No telling whether or not Afeni’s estate will be successful in its pursuits to retain ownership of TuPac’s valuables… But here’s hoping both of their souls are at peace with the outcome..

THOUGHTS?
