Poor Auntie: Mary J. Blige owes $6.5 million in back taxes

Enough Crying” songstress, Mary J. Blige, might soon be tearing up a little more than usual as it’s been uncovered that she owes the IRS millions on millions on millions in unpaid taxes.

In the throes of baring a major financial burden while severing her 13-year-long marital ties with creeping estranged husband, Kendu Isaacs, everyone’s favorite 46-year-old R&B singing play-aunt filed an Income and Expense Declaration in a Los Angeles court on August 8, after she was given a temporary order to pay him $30,000 a month in spousal support.

Per legal documents, obtained by TheDailyNews, Auntie Mary revealed she earns $326,930 a month – with royalties and earnings from her production company being her main source of cash.

However, the “No More Drama” slayer’s paperwork also showed that she owes Uncle Sam an estimated $6.5 million in back taxes for the years 2008 through 2016.

MJB was said to have made a note of her debt after reporting a change in income due to a “large reduction in my royalties” over the past year.

Expense records reportedly show she currently pays $14,000 a month for her Los Angeles rental, $2,340 for her two Mercedes-Benz, and several thousand dollars on mortgage interest, insurance, and real estate taxes for her three homes across New York and New Jersey…

Though the “Just Fine” hitmaker placed her eight-bedroom, ten-bathroom, Saddle River, NJ mansion up for sale in 2015, the estate remains on the market and was listed as “un-rentable”… Along with her property in Cresskill, which has been boarded up by the city and is in a state of “disrepair.”

As previously reported on Cheekywiki, Mary was “outraged” by Kendu– who initially sought $130,000/month in monetary blessing from Mary, after she filed for divorce in July 2016, on the grounds that her also firing him as her manager left him “with no source of income”– and his request she fund his “lavish lifestyle,” which included coins for his rental properties, home and car maintenance, transportation, food, and financially supporting his parents and two adult kids from a previous relationship.

“I am not responsible for supporting [Kendu’s] parents and his children from another relationship which he lists as ongoing monthly expenses,” Mary clapped back in legal docs.

In the past, the “I’m Going Down” diva also complained to courts that she’s struggling to cover all their expenses, while Kendu–who she also accused of wrongfully blowing $420,000 of her business monies on his family and new girlfriend– “contributes absolutely nothing.”

So far, Mary J. has yet to openly address her crushing IRS debt…
