Probation Probs: Dennis Rodman facing over 2 years in jail for DUI arrest

A hefty jail sentence could be looming over Dennis Rodman’s multi-colored head following the former NBA hoop god’s weekend DUI arrest.

At approximately 11PM on Saturday, after being stopped by cops for a traffic violation in Newport Beach, the legendary Chicago Bulls baller failed a field sobriety test, blew over the .08 legal limit in a breathalyzer test, and was consequently detained in police custody for 7 hours before being released.

Reps for the embattled athlete—who earned his first DUI back in 1999— dropped a statement following his arrest, saying: “Alcoholism has been a struggle on and off for Dennis the past 15 years,” adding he’s been going through some “tough personal issues.”

Unfortunately for ol’ Den-Den, his recent tipsy driving lock up occurred while he was on a three-year probation for a July 2016 wrong way crash—in which he was going the wrong way on an Orange County, CA freeway, struck a car, and allegedly fled the scene.

Witnesses also allege the basketball dribbler knocked back several drinks at a karaoke bar before the crash; however, homie was NOT charged with DUI for that incident.

Per the terms of his probation, Dennis—who faced a two-year bid in prison for the mash up—was ordered to stay out of trouble, according to reports.

Officials, according to TMZ, will presumably revoke Dennis’ probation in the wake of the new arrest… and he could be sent to prison for the full 2 years he was originally due to serve in the wrong way crash case PLUS any additional time for his most recent DUI arrest.

Dennis’ spokespeople have reportedly suggested he enroll in a rehab program.

So far, the professional dunker has yet to openly address his latest legal woes.
