Scammer Time: Suge Knight fiancé sentenced for selling hit-and-run surveillance video

Suge Knight’s fiancé, Toi-Lin Kelly, is learning the hard way that you shouldn’t do the crime if you can’t do the time… As she’s been sentenced for selling a video that was sealed evidence in the murder trial of the Death Row Records head honcho.

Though she won’t be joining her incarcerated West Coast reppin’ boo in sporting orange prison garb behind the barb-wired gates of a penitentiary, the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office has ordered Suge’s 36-year-old sweetheart serve five years of probation and execute 100 hours of community service, according to the LA Times, for purveying footage of the Hip-Hop legend’s hit and run accident at Tam’s Burgers in Compton—which fatally injured actor Terry Carter—during the filming of N.W.A. biopic, Straight Outta Compton, back in January 2015.

Toi-Lin—who pleaded no contest to violating a court order for devising a scheme to sell the evidentiary surveillance video to TMZ for $55K (though her original asking price was reportedly $150K) and spent 32 days in jail for the infraction—must also pay $55,000 to Tam’s Burgers.

She and her business partner, Mark Blankenship, were allegedly aware that the tapes of Suge’s red Ford F-150 Raptor pickup ramming into his victims were forbidden from public release due to a court order, but proceeded to arrange its sale to the media just two weeks after the deadly incident, anyway.

“I can’t wait to get this video to you,” Toi-Lin said in a text message to a TMZ representative, according to court documents.

Mark Blankenship is also facing conspiracy charges.

After a little over a month in jail, Suge’s boo was released from police custody on Thursday.
