Sean Paul shades Drake, Justin Bieber, and more for adopting Dancehall without giving proper cred

NO WITH THE SH**S…
Dancehall legend, Sean Paul, is soooooooooo not here for Drake, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, nor any other mainstream Hip-Hop/Pop artists wrongfully biting the distinctive sounds of his homeland..
While shooting the sh** with The Guardian, the Jamaican born “Get Busy,” spitter shamelessly shaded a number of rappers and singers who’ve appropriated the reggae genre in the recent years…

“It is a sore point when people like Drake or Bieber or other artists come and do dancehall-orientated music but don’t credit where dancehall came from and they don’t necessarily understand it,” the 47-year-old musician said. “A lot of people get upset, they get sour. And I know artists back in Jamaica that don’t like Major Lazer because they think they do the same thing that Drake and Kanye did – they take and take and don’t credit.”

SHAMMMMMEEEEEEE…

Though Sean willingly tipped his hat to Drizzy for his lyrical efforts saying, “I love some of his songs but I don’t think he’s the best rapper,” the “Temperature” rhymer said that he’ll be making a major effort to preserve dancehall’s original flavor while incorporating some of it’s new and popular elements in his own upcoming album.
“Dancehall is back but this time it’s also infused with Afrobeat, with hip-hop, with trap, and that’s fine with me,” he said. “Sure, I would like what we do in Jamaica, that authentic dancehall, to be on top, but it simply isn’t. So I want this album to bridge that gap.”

DO YOU AGREE WITH SEAN PAUL? SHOULD DRAKE, YE, AND THEM GIVE THE DANCEHALL ORIGINS MORE SHINE?
THOUGHTS?
