Serena Williams allegedly called “disgusting” & denied celeb discount at luxury shoe store

Tennis slayer, Serena Williams, has been endearingly nicknamed “champion,” “the G.O.A.T.,” “Drake’s girlfriend,” etc. throughout the years. However, a newly filed lawsuit claims the muscle-bound expecting mother was once called “disgusting” by a racist luxury shoe store manager who refused to bless the black athlete with the same discount privileges regularly given to white celebrities…
According to a racial discrimination suit obtained by The New York Post, Whitney Wilburn, a former African American employee of high-end footwear purveyor, Gianvito Rossi, alleges that her Caucasian ex-supervisor, Grace Mazzilli, openly exhibited her unabashed “racial animosity toward African Americans,” on numerous occasions.
In her filings, the 46-year-old complainant points to an occurrence in which, “… The world famous athlete Serena Williams, via her staff, asked for a discount on her extensive purchases, Gianvito managers responded with racially disparaging comments about Ms. Williams which made it clear that the company did not want African American women to wear its shoes.”

Whitney’s legal documents continue, “When later pressured to do so by a contact at Vogue magazine, they offered only a fraction of the discount that white celebrities typically receive.”
Elsewhere in the paper work, Whitney–who says she was the company’s only black staffer for a year-and-a-half–claims Grace “threw numerous elaborate dinner parties and social events for all boutiques managed by white employees … while never once holding an event for [her] Madison Avenue store.”

She also maintains that her former boss was immediately “hostile to her based upon her race and age,” and ultimately fired her “without warning or formal evaluation” in January 2017… Only to replace her with a “much younger, white manager.”
At this point, a super pregnant Serena has not made any public remarks about the alleged discriminatory treatment she was unknowingly subjected to by the Gianvito Rossi manager…
