So Nasty, So Rude: Prodigy’s Queensbridge mural vandalized for the second time

R.I.P. P…

Prodigy’s face is being disgraced.

The freshly finished mural dedicated to late Mobb Deep rapper, Prodigy, has been vandalized, for the second time in less than a week.

As Hip-Hop heads worldwide continue mourning the untimely death of the 42-year-old “Shook Ones” spitter, an artistic tribute decorating the side of the Urban Upbound building, located across the street from the deceased New York native’s Queensbridge housing projects, was splattered with red paint, just hours after undergoing repairs from being splashed with white paint on Saturday.

PEEP…

Following the mural’s defacement over the weekend, Brooklyn rapper and Mobb Deep collaborator, Cormega–who digitally labeled the initial act of vandalism as “some sucker sh**”– shared images of artists, Jeff Henriquez and Eli “Eli Eos” Lazare, working to repair the painting…

WELL NOW…

In the wake of the craft’s second tarnishing, social media messies are scapegoating members of the Bloods street gang for the wanton act of disrespect towards the fallen rap staple; however, those allegation have yet to be confirmed or denied by the gang.

On June 20, Prodigy passed away in a Las Vegas, Nevada hospital following complications with sickle cell anemia.
It remains unclear why vandals continue targeting the “Quiet Storm” emcee’s piece.

Here’s hoping the guilty party(s) are soon brought to justice once and for all…
