The Last To Know: Jason DeRulo had NO idea Nicki Minaj was coming for Remy Ma on “Swalla”

GOTTA BE QUICKER THAN THAT..

While all of you shadeeee aficionados were quick to pick up on the low key slings Nicki Minaj spewed at Remy Ma via her verse on Jason DeRulo’s “Swalla,” the super thick Young Money representative’s war-inciting verbal jabs were completely missed by the 27-year-old pop singer and his entire squad..
BOOOOP…

SO PEEP…
As the flames of female emcee fury continue to engulf the Hip-Hop realm thanks to the baddie beef between MUVA Minaj and her “SheTHER” rapping opponent, the 34-year-old Queens native’s “Talk Dirty” crooning collaborator confessed to having absolutely NO knowledge that Nicki was coming for Remy’s kitchen on his most recent chart-topping hit.
“You know, it’s kinda crazy because I didn’t even expect that,” Jason said of the bars the Barbz spit on his track while chopping it up with HipHopDX.

Further expressing his shock, Jason went on to admit that he and his crew totally overlooked the combined shade Nicki tossed at Rem on “Swalla” and in her verse on Gucci Mane’s “Make Love”… that ultimately inspired the 36-year-old Love And Hip Hop New York star to responsively drop her much talked about clap back record.
“[Her dissing Remy] didn’t even cross my mind. I didn’t [put two and two] together. To be honest, I don’t think anybody on my team or my label put that together, either,” the vocalist said. “But I guess it was a combination of [“Swalla”] and the other song [“Make Love”]. I don’t really know the whole joint but I do know that her coming back with those three records (“No Frauds,” “Changed It” and “Regret In Your Tears”) was unbelievable. That’s some legendary sh**.”
Though careful not to straight up dub either woman the champion, Jason confessed his loyalty to his “Anaconda” spitting sis… and in the same breath gave Remy her due respects for taking no shorts in battle.

“It’s good for music,” the Florida bred boomer said when asked if the beef was good for Hip Hop culture. “It makes it exciting to watch. But you know Nicki is my sister and she’s just an unbelievable talent. Some people you don’t really go after. And I think both parties held their own. Remy did her thing but what Nicki did was legendary.”

HMMMMMMM…

So far, Remy has not responded to any of Nicki’s three latest releases…
