TuPac Shakur will be the first solo Hip-Hop act inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Late culture G.O.A.T., TuPac Shakur, will be inducted into 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. 
On Tuesday, the estate of the legendary “Hail Mary,” rapper hopped on Pac’s official Instagram account announcing his impending inclusion into the prestigious annals of musical excellence. 


And while Makaveli has been offered a seat amongst previously inducted rap luminaries such as Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and N.W.A… The “Thug Life” tatted storyteller will become the first solo Hip-Hop artist to earn a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In addition to Pac, the 2017 class of R&RHOFamers includes Joan Baez, Pearl Jam, Yes, Journey and Electric Light Orchestra. 

The “Changes” spitter– whose debut album, 2Pacalypse Now, dropped in November 1991– was officially nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in October. Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after their first release.

The 2017 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled to go down on April 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
