Twitter FRISKS DJ Envy for siding with Donald Trump on the stop and frisk policy

SLAY THE DJ…

Gully Twitter twatters are digitally shaking down Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club host, DJ Envy, for appearing to agree with Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, in his stance on stop-and-frisk practices in New York City..

DEAR TODDLER JESUS…

LAY YOUR HANDS ON THIS…

On Tuesday, the 39-year-old legendary music mixer and his fellow morning radio show anchors, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee, dedicated some conversation time to Monday night’s presidential debate in which Trump suggested reinstating the stop and frisk program–which heavily targeted young black and Latino men– though it was ruled unconstitutional and proved to be unproductive…

WELLLL…..

While Charlemagne made note of the policy’s ineffectiveness, DJ Envy countered his point, saying “No, it showed it took a lot of guns off the street.”

When C Tha God clapped back at his co-worker saying, “No, it doesn’t though”—”Now you can say it was only .1 percent,” Envy immediately spit back, “What’s ‘not a lot of guns’? Nine-hundred guns off the street is ‘not a lot of guns’?.”
He added, “In 2011, the last year that they did stop and frisk, they actually took, excuse me, 890 guns off the street,” which then prompted Angela Yee to point out that stop and frisk didn’t really reduce any crime or keep anyone safer—a fact the Brennan Center for Justice also concluded.

Despite his co-hosts valiant efforts to change his views on the practice that was ultimately deemed “a policy of indirect racial profiling,” against men of color, Envy maintained his (and Trump’s) position on the matter…

“In certain cases, yes,” the DJ said about the wrongful targeting of minority youth under the stop and frisk program. “[But] in certain cases it was done to pull guns off the street.”

He continued, “You can say .2 [percent], but I’ll take .2 of a billion dollars. Yes, 900 guns off the street, you can say it’s only .2 percent, but 900 guns off the street is a lot of guns off New York City.”

Later, in their debate Envy defended the practice saying that if it was applied more fairly across the board then everything would be cool…

WELL GUESS WHAT ENVY…
